Launch of New Adventure Films

21-07-2017 Red Funnel, the Isle of Wight Specialist has produced a series of short films designed to amplify its 'Escape to Adventure Island' summer campaign.

The thematic campaign aims to position the Isle of Wight as an adventure playground for families with teenage kids and thrill seeking adults, particularly those seeking activity based day-trips or short-breaks.

In the first instance, Red Funnel has teamed up with Charlie Lower, a Brighton based vlogger, film student and classic MINI enthusiast to showcase some of the activities on the Isle of Wight which appeal young adults.

Titled 'Mini IOW Adventures', Episode 1 is available now at and Episode 2 is scheduled for release at the end of July. The final two films will be released in August. Detailed itineraries to accompany each film are available to download and to make it easy for would-be adventurers, they include details of the activity and accommodation providers who are featured in the films.

Red Funnel is also releasing the 'BIG Isle of Wight Adventure', a beautiful lifestyle film featuring 6 mainland based friends in their 20's. The film was shot over 3 days in June and follows the friends arriving on the Island and enjoying a wealth of activities including swimming, sailing, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, paragliding, beach yoga and mountain biking. As a further incentive for visitors to escape to the Isle of Wight this summer, Red Funnel has launched a competition on social media to win a holiday for the best adventure video. There are also 4 return ferry trips to win for the best adventure photos. To enter, visitors just need to post their video or photo to either Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, Pinterest, Google +, YouTube or Periscope using the hashtag #myiowadventure The closing date is 30 September 2017 and shortlisted films and videos can be seen at
