Red Funnel to offer big discounts on advance ferry bookings as 2020 Isle of Wight Festival line-up is announced

Wed, Dec 4 2019

The Isle of Wight Festival is returning once again to celebrate its 50th anniversary from 11th-14th June 2020 and is kicking off the summer festival season with an all-star line-up of music icons.

Headline acts include Lionel Richie and Lewis Capaldi making their show debut on the Friday night, Snow Patrol and The Chemical Brothers on the Saturday evening and Duran Duran, in a UK festival exclusive, closing the Main Stage on Sunday night.

Red Funnel continues to offer early bird vehicle ferry travel rates, with lead-in fares from £28.50 each way at select times during off-peak dates (9, 10, 13, 14, 16, 17 June) and fares from £46.50 each way at select times during peak dates (11, 12, 15 June).

The company’s Black Friday Sale offering of 1/3 off vehicle ferry travel can also be used to book crossings for which early bird fares have already sold out, effectively making ALL crossings for the Festival period currently on sale.

With the Black Friday sale offer ending this Friday, 6 December and with the early bird travel fares on for a limited time, right now is the ideal time or festival goers to book their preferred travel dates and maximise savings. Customers booking now and booking quickly will also benefit from the best selection of crossings times and avoid disappointment as sailings fill up.

Red Funnel is also making it easier for customers to book their Festival tickets and ferry travel together as the company will sell a limited supply of Festival tickets on its website from 09:00am this Friday, 6 December.

Fran Collins, CEO of Red Funnel, commented: “We are very excited to see the Isle of Wight Festival return for 2020. What a fantastic line up! Connecting festival goers to the action is something we look forward to every year and our teams are already busy making plans for ensuring customers have the best possible experience, which starts from the moment they arrive at the terminal. We also have a fantastic series of early bird travel offers available right now, so anyone planning to attend the Festival should really consider booking their Festival tickets and ferry travel this Friday and securing some great savings.”

Customers purchasing Festival tickets and ferry travel via Red Funnel can also benefit from the company’s interest-free payment plan option help spread the cost of travel and tickets. The plan works as follows:

  • 20% of order value to be paid on 31 January 2020
