Public Vote opens for Red Funnel Isle of wight Awards

Fri, Nov 8 2019

The public vote for the ‘Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards’ is now open.

The revamped awards will recognise the diverse and wonderful places to go, stay and eat across the Island with 20 categories covering accommodation, food & drink, things to do and with several new categories, including ‘Best Place for Dogs’, ‘Greenest Business’ and ‘Best Newcomer’.

For the first time, both visitors and Islanders are invited to have their say on which of the 150+ nominated Isle of Wight businesses are their favourites, and which should make the final shortlist.

The public vote will remain open until 28th February 2020, with the top three in each category being invited to an awards ceremony in March 2020. A judging panel will decide the overall winners, recognizing their achievements with Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.

Commenting on the awards, CEO of Red Funnel, Fran Collins, said: “I’m very excited about this year’s inaugural Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards. Recognising and celebrating Island businesses is just one way Red Funnel gives back to, and shows our appreciation for all the incredible businesses that make the Island an amazing place to live and to visit.   I wish all the nominees the very best of luck in the public vote and I look forward to presenting at the awards in March.”

Voting is now open at www.redfunnel.co.uk/awards.
