Back to the shop floor for National Customer Service Week

02-10-2008 Red Funnel's Directors are heading back to the floor for National Customer Service Week which runs from 6-12 October.


The seven Directors will take up jobs ranging from cleaning, engine room duties, stores, ticket offices, and traffic marshalling. They will also cover shifts as able seamen, cabin attendants, pontoon attendants and catering assistants.

In addition, the senior management team will hold a series of 'Meet the Manager' sessions both onboard and at the terminals. Customers will be able to ask questions and discuss any part of Red Funnel's operation on a one to one basis with the people responsible for delivering the service.

National Customer Service Week is organised by the Institute of Customer Service and is designed to raise awareness of customer service and the vital role it plays within an organisation. It is also an opportunity to say a big thank you to those who work in customer service for a job well done.
