Award for Red Funnel transport partnership
06-07-2017 Red Funnel's partnership with Isle of Wight based Steve Porter Transport and Meachers Global Logistics has won a prestigious award at the 2017 Motor Transport Awards.
The annual Motor Transport Awards is designed to celebrate achievement, leadership and success in the road transport industry, which constitutes a major part of the UK economy.
The winner of best Partnership, sponsored by Wincanton was announced at a glittering ceremony in London on Wednesday 5 July hosted by comedian John Bishop and TV presenter Gaby Logan. The award was won against stiff competition from fellow finalists Alltruck/DX, Arla/Danone, Cemex UK/Continental, DFDS/Magnavale and Parcelforce/Screwfix.

Red Funnel's Solent Alliance partnership with Steve Porter Transport and Meacher's was formed five years ago to operate a highly efficient, cost effective cross-Solent delivery service for drop-trailer, full load and consolidated services travelling via Southampton with connections to distribution centres based in Northampton and Coventry.
