Friday

Isle of Wight Pride are kicking off Pride weekend with a banging Launch Party on Friday 19th July at The Balcony, Ryde. Featuring DJ sets from Radio 1's Dean McCullough and Island DJ Omar. Dean hosts his own show on BBC Radio 1 and has become one of the most exciting broadcasters in the country. Awarded ‘Top LGBTQ+ Broadcaster’ by Attitude Magazine, Dean has filled dance floors across the UK & Europe.

Saturday

On Saturday 20th July, the Pride Parade will start at 11am from Ryde School heading down Lind Street, Union Street, along the Esplanade until it reaches the Pride Community Village in Eastern Gardens. Local business stalls, food, bars and activities, including Drag Queen Story Hour UK, can be found throughout Eastern Gardens in the Pride Community Village. This year the main stage entertainment returns to Harbour Beach will an incredible line-up including Drag King Don One, The Boy George Experience, Quivers and Smashby. Plus, headliners Ginger Johnson, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race UK S5, and former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt.

Sunday

The final day of Pride Weekend, Sunday 21st July, features Symphonix Pride, a 30-piece orchestra and band with Andrew Browning as George Michael and Dave Jerome as Freddie Mercury plus special guest vocalist Friederike Skeet. This stunning production also features sensational Drag Queen Cherry Liquor. Enjoy the music of Queen and George Michael in this fantastic beach setting. This event champions the importance of equality and diversity by highlighting the advances that have been made for the LGBTQIA+ community in the UK and around the world, whilst also raising awareness of the prejudice and danger that many still face.

On Foot: From the East Cowes Terminal, head to the bus stop opposite Waitrose (2 min walk) and catch the number 4 bus to Ryde Transport Interchange. 
From our West Cowes Terminal, head to the bus stop on Carvel Lane and catch the number 1 bus to Newport. From Newport bus station catch the number 9 bus to Ryde Transport Interchange.
