What's On

The annual Wight Proms festival brings famous faces from the worlds of comedy, opera, drag, country music, sport, musical theatre, dance, and classical proms, with concerts taking place on the manicured lawn of stately Northwood House in Cowes. This year it will be part of Cowes Week's 200th anniversary celebrations!

Friday 31 July 

  • 10 am: Workshops
    The aim of these workshops is to inspire the next generation of budding young performers, by transporting them into the world of musical theatre. Later performing their song as part of the festival.
     
  • 7:30 pm: Liza Pulman & Joe Stilgoe
    The duo's combined love and exhaustive movie knowledge is on technicolour display as they bring some of these great movie-musical songs to life on the stage.

Sunday 2 August

  • 7:30 pm: Jasper Carrott with Strictly Abba
    Known as the "Godfather of British comedy", Jasper will be joined by special guests Strictly ABBA for a night combining the best of comedy and music.

Sunday 9 August

  • 4:15 pm: Last Wight of the Bicentary Proms
    Starring G4's Mike Christie and the Wight Proms concert orchestra, conducted by the Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra's Jonathan Butcher.

Getting There

From Southampton: Hop on board our Hi-Speed Red Jet service and sail to West Cowes, just a stone's throw from the venue. You'll find Northwood House just a 10-minute uphill walk from West Cowes terminal, or alternatively, take the Southern Vectis No.1 from outside M&S in Cowes (Carvel Lane) and alight at Park Gates. 

By car: Northwood House, Ward Avenue, Cowes, PO31 8AZ. If arriving from Southampton, depart East Cowes terminal, turn right at the mini roundabout and follow the signs to Cowes Floating Bridge to take you across the River Medina to West Cowes, priced at £3.00 per car. See the journey here
