East Cowes will see the return of its much-loved carnival on Saturday 22 August. The revived carnival aims to put East Cowes back on the map with vibrant, homemade floats, dance troupes, and community participation.

The East Cowes Carnival will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026. After a 30-year hiatus, the beloved community event made its triumphant return in 2025 and is now an annual celebration featuring a colorful street parade, marching bands, local royalty, and family-friendly entertainment.
Key Details:
- Date: Saturday, August 22, 2026
- Time: Assembly begins around 5:00 PM, judging occurs around 5:30 PM, and the main parade moves off at 6:15 PM
- Route: The parade begins near the top of Victoria Grove, loops through the town centre (moving via York Avenue, Clarence Road, and Minerva Road), and returns to Victoria Grove to finish.
- Carnival Royalty: The 2026 Carnival Royalty team was announced in April, featuring Senior Queen Lily, Junior Queen Danielle, and a court of princesses and attendants

By car: Park at Well Road (PO32 6SP) or on street parking is available along the esplanade (PO32 6AD).
