Celebrating its 35th birthday in 2025, the Island’s largest and most iconic fundraising event, Walk the Wight, returns on 11 May!
Considered the largest walking event of its kind in Europe, this year’s event raised a record-breaking half a million pounds to help Mountbatten - the Isle of Wight’s only hospice - support Islanders when they need it most.
What's On
Mountbatten’s flagship fundraiser is an epic walk across the beautiful Isle of Wight countryside and offers multiple route options for all ages and abilities.
For 26.5 miles of glorious Isle of Wight scenery, there is the Full Walk, between Bembridge and The Needles. For something more manageable, there are 2 Half Walks (12.5 or 14 miles), or the wheelchair-accessible, pushchair-friendly Flat Walk (8 miles), between Sandown and Shide.
Featuring Lush, green countryside, historic villages, famous landmarks, majestic chalk cliffs, and coastal views with shimmering blue seas - Walk the Wight, crowned Red Funnel’s Best Island Event, has all this and more!
