IOW Ultra Challenge

A spectacular 106km circumnavigation of the island that participants can run, jog, or walk. Take it on for a charity of your choice, or simply for the personal challenge. Options include the Full Island route, with a unique 2-day ‘Daylight’ option featuring overnight camping, as well as the Half Island, Southern 50km, Quarter Island, and the popular Medina 10-mile route. Each option showcases the very best of the Isle of Wight’s stunning coastline, countryside, and historic towns.

Around 2,000 adventurers will take on the Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge this May, over the public holiday weekend, all pushing their limits while helping to raise over £600,000 for hundreds of charities.

The challenge starts in the south at Chale Parish Recreation Ground, following the island’s spectacular southern cliffs, past the iconic Needles, and on to Cowes at the halfway point. Full Island challengers continue through the classic seaside resorts of Sandown and Shanklin, on to historic Ventnor, before returning to our welcome base camp in Chale after an epic 106km journey.

Challengers enjoy full support and hospitality throughout, including marquee rest stops, plentiful food and drink, medics, massage, camping options, and shuttle buses.
