Over 200 artists and makers across the Isle of Wight are preparing to open their doors as Isle of Wight Open Studios 2026 officially begins this Friday, 15 May.
Running until 25 May, the island-wide event invites visitors to step inside studios, galleries and creative spaces to discover the people, processes and stories behind the work. From painters, ceramicists and photographers to jewellers, printmakers, textile artists and sculptors, Open Studios offers a unique opportunity to experience the Island’s creative community first-hand.
Visitors are encouraged to explore the interactive map and artist directory to plan their routes, discover new places and meet artists across all areas of the Island.
Ahead of the event, the IWOS Showcase Exhibition remains open at Quay Arts until 30 May, featuring work from over 90 participating artists and offering a starting point for visitors planning their Open Studios journeys.
This year’s event has also been nominated in the Red Funnel Isle of Wight Awards under “Best Event or Festival”, highlighting the growing impact and reach of the Island’s creative community.
Whether visiting a single studio or spending the weekend exploring multiple locations, Isle of Wight Open Studios offers the chance to experience creativity in a welcoming and personal way, meeting artists in the spaces where ideas become finished work.
