What's On
Celebrate the best in comics, film, TV and pop culture as Fan TC Con ‘The Isle of Wight’s Very Own Comic Con’ returns for a fourth time.
Having been recently nominated for the award of Red Funnel Best Island Event 2024, Fan TC Con is gearing up for a spectacular extravaganza on Saturday 19th October at 1Leisure Medina, Fairlee Road, Newport, Isle of Wight.
The events and attractions will appeal to all ages as the biggest family-friendly Comic Con of its kind on the Island makes its return with immersive experiences like VR gaming, meeting celebrities, award-winning writers and illustrators, a cosplay competition, interactive fun, panellists and much more.
Prepare for retro gaming, Masters of Bricks, Doctor Who Zone featuring screen used TARDIS, Daleks, K-9 and our Doctor Who stars, Sylvester McCoy, Frazer Hines and Wendy Padbury. A wrestling demonstration from Isle of Wight’s own Pheonix Pro Wrestlers. Also try out Dungeons and Dragons, our board gaming zone and Q&A sessions hosted by Paul Wilson.
- The force will be strong in what is set to be Fan TC Con’s Star Wars feature, including actor Ross Sambridge, character interaction, and photo opportunities run by the dedicated Joker Squad.
- Meet local celebrities like drag talent Quivers, Adam Adamart, and stars of TV and film.
- See Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (as seen on Channel 5’s Isle of Wight – Jewel of the South!)
- The annual Cosplay Competition has expert judges, host Robin Flux, with Heroes providing great prizes for the winners.
- For comic book fans, meet the artists and producers of Hardcore Hare with lots of cool merch as well. Other graphic artists will be added to the bill.
This year's event is partnering up with local good cause Mountbatten Isle of Wight.

Getting There
From Southampton: Set sail to East Cowes with your car and up to 7 passengers, or hop on our hi-speed Red Jet service as a foot passenger and arrive in West Cowes in under 30 minutes. Onward bus connections are available from both our Island terminals - from West Cowes, take the Southern Vectis no.1 to Newport, or from East Cowes, take the no.5 to Newport. Plan your journey here.
