Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival
This September, join in as Steampunk enthusiasts from near and far come together to celebrate their love for all things Victorian-era and beyond!
What's On
The Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival brings opportunities to dress up in captivating Victorian attire, play traditional steampunk games such as tea duelling and teapot racing, and soak up some eccentric entertainment.
It’s not just for enthusiasts… Newbies are often enthralled by the whole experience! Expect singalongs, spoken word storytelling, creative fun workshops, street performers including Victorian puppeteers, and even a costumed wandering sea monster on stilts - along with a “Steampaws” dog parade, for furry friends with a twist of Victorian elegance!
Think of Air Ship meets Jules Verne, or Starship meets HG Wells and much more as the imagination takes over! Steampunk festivals often showcase elaborate steampunk attire... Corsets, top hats, feathers and leathers, and all sorts of attire from the bygone era.
The main event is two full days of free entertainment, bands, displays, workshops and fashion, along with specialised steampunk-themed market stalls and fun experiences to appeal to all.
The evenings will see musical show performances in across multiple venues in Ryde (Pavilion, Fu Bar, Esplanade Hotel, and The Star) featuring famous Steampunk bands and performers.
