In a puff of steam it’s Wickedly Wonderful Halloween Fun during October Half Term! It may be spooky ... It might be scary ... But it’s Halloween fun for all the family.


Witches, wizards and ghouls are getting ready to take over Havenstreet this Halloween.

Head to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway for a little bit of halloween magic from a real-life magician, conjuring up some tricks and treats with help from some of the friendly Havenstreet Witches.Will you become an apprentice and help with the spooky spells?

Watch the Haven Falconry birds of prey swoop and dive during their display and spot the owls to make it a truly halloween-y experience. Greg Chapman will be in the Station Yard to tell you all the terrible tales and mesmerise you with illusions.

After take the treasure hunt trail around the grounds before boarding the wickedly wonderful steam train where you'll find a crafty witch handing out treats, (and tricks of course) for you to enjoy during your journey through the haunted woodland.

Getting to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway is easy from Southampton.

By car - catch the hourly car ferry to East Cowes and then head south on Dover Road. Follow the A3021, Park Road, Briddlesford Road, and then turn left into Combley Road. The journey will take about 13 minutes.

On foot - catch the Red Jet to West Cowes. From here, Southern Vectis operate frequent buses (service 1) to Newport where you can change at the bus station for service 9, alighting at Wootton station. From here you catch a train to Havenstreet station. Taxis are also available outside the West Cowes Red Jet terminal. For car hire, we recommend Enterprise - they will pick you-up from the Red Jet if you tell them your arrival time.
