Blackgang Chine have commissioned Atmosfear International, curator of over 250 scare entertainment attractions for some of the world’s best-known brands to develop three brand new scare attractions that are guaranteed to give you something to really scream about.

Running on selected nights between 19 October - 2 November, Terror Isand will not only give you three epic scare attractions, but some awesome new street food options plus a bar serving a selection of drinks and Cocktails from Mermaid Gin. As if that wasn't enough, on selected weekend nights there'll even be a live DJ from 6pm-late. 

The Blood Shed

Step inside the secret hideaway of a bloodthirsty band of serial-killer smugglers, explore the rotting cabins and encounter the half-human incumbents who are dying to MEAT you…

Amphibious

Unleash the ancient spirits of the sea that have been enraged by the lives saved by the old oratory at St. Catherine’s, bringing with them the terrors of the deep and wreaking their vengeance.

Hexcavation

Discover the site of a recent archaeological excavation that has unearthed the skeletal remains of an ancient Pagan deity, invoking a primitive Pagan magical hex. Join the dig if you dare and discover the age-old secrets.

Age requirements

Under 16's will not be admitted. Guests aged between 16-18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18 at all times, and subject to a ratio of not less than 1 adult per 6 16-18-year olds.

Getting to Blackgang Chine is pretty straightforward from Southampton.

On foot - hop aboard a Red Jet Hi-Speed passenger sailing from Southampton to West Cowes (it takes 23-25 minutes). On arrival in West Cowes, Southern Vectis operate frequent buses from West Cowes to Newport (service 1). Change at the bus station in Newport for service 6 to Blackgang. Taxis are also available outside the East & West Cowes terminals. For car hire, we recommend Enterprise - they will pick you-up from either terminal if you tell them your arrival time.

By car - catch an hourly Red Funnel vehicle ferry sailing from Southampton to East Cowes, the crossing takes 55-60 minutes. On arrival, head south along Dover Rd, take Castle St to Well Rd/A3021, follow A3021, A3054 and A3020 to Niton Rd in Rookley. Continue on Niton Rd to Godshill, continue on Appleford Rd and then tke B3399 to Blackgang Chine (PO38 2HN). The journey will take 30-35 minutes.
