The Pier2Pier swim is an annual open water event hosted by the IOW Marlins Swim Club on the Isle of Wight. Swimmers will take to the water to race from Sandown Pier along the coast to where Shanklin Pier once stood.

Isle of Wight Marlins is a local club for swimmers on the Isle of Wight. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to join, whether it be for fitness, fun or competition. There are a number of events each year including the The Heights Open Meet in February and the open-water Pier2Pier Swim in August. Both events bring swimmers from all over the country together to take part in friendly competition.
This years Pier2Pier event will see swimmers begin the race at Sandown Pier and race 1.8 miles along the coastline to Shanklin Bay. The race will end outside the Shanklin Rowing Club.
The event is open to independent and club swimmers over the age of 18 years. Trophies will be awarded for various categories and a a keepsake given to each swimmer taking part.
