Join Freshwater Independent Lifeboat on Saturday 14th August as they host their first Open Day fundraiser in over a year!

This will be one of Freshwater Independent Lifeboats largest events yet and there is plenty going on throughout the day (and night) to keep everyone entertained.

Head down to Freshwater Bay where you'll be welcomed with live music throughout the day, facepainting and a pirate fancy dress competition for the kids. You'll be well fed with BBQ's plus as the entertainment runs into the night, Woodfire Pizza, Stripped Ventnor and Wight Bars will keep you fed and watered too.

Alongside the entertainment and food, there will be craft stalls, games of skill and an opportunity to learn all about the lifeboat service and perhaps join up as a new crew member. The emergency services will also be there to demonstrate some rescue exercises, along with first-aid tips and training.

Be sure to visit stalls from Freshwater's community partners including Freshwater Fire Station, National Coastguard Institution, IW Search & Rescue and Suicide Prevention IOW. Alongside West Wight Community Centre and Freshwater Bay Residents Association.

This will be a great day out for the entire family and the money raised will ensure that the Freshwater Independent Lifeboats service are able to continue saving lives at sea 24/7.
