The Isle of Wight Pride is being staged in Ryde on Saturday 20th July 2019. Book travel from Southampton below.

The UK’s only Pride event to take place on a beach, the first ever IW Pride was a huge success last year, culminating in a successful bid to host Isle of Wight Pride in 2019.

Book your vehicle travel below. Foot passengers can buy tickets on the day of departure from our Southampton terminals (T1 for service to East Cowes, T2 for service to West Cowes). For onward travel to Ryde you can use Southern Vectis bus services (via Newport).

IW Pride is free to attend but you need to register in advance at

Whilst IW Pride officially takes place on Saturday 20 July, additional events and celebrations are also being planned for the whole weekend and in the preceding weeks, both in Ryde and across the Island. More details to follow.

Getting to Isle of Wight Pride is pretty easy from Southampton

On foot - Option 1: catch the Red Jet to West Cowes which takes 23-25 minutes. From here, Southern Vectis operate frequent buses to Newport (service 1). Change at the bus station for Ryde (service 9). Option 2: catch the passenger vehicle ferry to East Cowes and then a bus from outside Waitrose to Ryde (service 4). You can also catch the more frequent bus to Newport (service 5) and change at Binfield Corner for the bus to Ryde (service 9) - please ask the driver where you need to change. On arrival at Ryde Interchange, the beach is just a short walk.

Taxis are also available outside the East & West Cowes terminals. For car hire, we recommend Enterprise - they will pick you-up from either terminal if you tell them your arrival time.

By car - catch the ferry to East Cowes and then head south on the A3021 and then east on the A3054 to Ryde via Wootton Bridge. The journey will take about 22 minutes.
