Isle of Wight Ferry Service Status

Below is the latest travel news and updates, along with the live status of the next 15 Vehicle Ferry and Red Jet departures from Southampton and the Isle of Wight. Please note: With the ongoing COVID-19 situation our early morning and evening ferry sailings are currently less frequent. Updated sailing times will appear below, or can be viewed on our Timetables Page.

We advise all foot passengers, cyclists and motor cyclists to avoid the "Stay in Vehicle" crossings, as they have very limited capacity for customers not travelling in a vehicle.

The following daily vehicle ferry sailings are usually scheduled as "Stay in Vehicle" crossings*:

Depart Southampton: 15:00, 21:00
Depart East Cowes: 16:30, 22:30 

*All these sailings are subject to change at late notice if urgent hazardous cargo is required to travel. Customers will be updated if there are changes on arrival.

Freight-only sailings have restricted capacity and are available for freight vehicles only. These sailings are not available to book online.

Please note: you can now buy Red Jet Tickets online. Tickets can also be purchased from the ticket office or machines at either terminals.
