Any item listed within the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code including (but not limited to) the following items. If a member of staff suspects you may be carrying an item on this list and it is not being declared, Red Funnel reserve the right to search your luggage.

- Firelighters & Strike anywhere matches
- Bromine
- Bromates
- Chlorine
- Hydrogen Peroxide
- Nitrous Oxide
- Medical / Clinical Waste
N/A to blood used for transfusion purposes - Tear Gas
- Medical cultures / Samples / Specimens
- Dry Ice

luggage
Due to limited luggage space, we can accept a minimum of two suitcases per person - no sails or sailboards - and one piece of hand luggage. Luggage trolleys are available at terminals but cannot be taken onboard. If assistance is needed, please inform a
member of staff prior to boarding.
bicycles
Bike racks are available on both Red Jet 6 and Red Jet 7 for our Southampton<>West Cowes service. These are available on a first come, first served basis. Folded bicycles stored inside a cycle bag are also permitted on the Red Jet.
vehicle ferry
Please note the following items that are prohibited for travel on the Red Funnel Vehicle Ferry service
Loose gas cylinders must not be carried. Make sure gas cylinders, cookers & fridges in caravans are properly switched/turned off.
Do not carry petrol cans on board - full or empty.
Do not overfill your tank.
