Yaverland Coastal Path

Yaverland

The most easterly point of the Bay area is a stark contrast to its more traditional neighbour at Sandown. White chalk cliffs at one end, and sandstone cliffs to the rear, make Yaverland more like the rural beaches of West Wight. It also shares many of their features – great for swimming, watersports, and fossil hunting. It’s often less populated than the main beach at Sandown if you’re staying nearby and seeking somewhere slightly quieter, and there’s a nice walk up to Culver Down from the car park if you’re looking to explore.
