To redeem, simply purchase any full-priced ticket for a “child” from any of our terminals and ask for the ‘Mums Go Free offer’ to receive the complimentary foot passenger day return for Mum.
Mums Go Free | Travel Offer
On Sunday 15th March, we're offering all Mums free foot passenger travel between Southampton and the Isle of Wight when Mum is travelling with a paying “child”.
Whether you’re a child aged 5 years old or 50 and travelling with your Mum, Step-Mum or a motherly figure - everyone is welcome to make the most of the Mums Go Free offer.
To qualify: simply purchase any full-priced ticket for the “child” from any of our terminals and ask for the ‘Mums Go Free offer’ to receive the complimentary foot passenger day return for Mum. If the child travelling is under 5, any other adult ticket will count towards the offer.
Dogs are also very welcome, meaning every member of the family can enjoy a day out this Mother’s Day.
Terms and Conditions:
- Valid for day return ticket on Sunday 15 March 2026 only (Mother’s Day)
- Origin port can be either Southampton Terminal 1, Southampton Terminal 2, East Cowes or West Cowes
- Must be purchased from East Cowes, West Cowes, T1 or T2 ticket offices
- Each qualifying “Mum” must travel with another paying fare – one paid fare is required for each free ticket (so two paid fares for two free Mums)
- Offer applied to child and adult fares.
- If a Mum is travelling with an infant (under 4) they still need to travel with a paying fare to qualify - this can be another adult, or child. If a mother is travelling solo, with an infant, they can purchase a normal child’s ticket to qualify.
- The paid fares will be as per our standard tariff, except for the Super Off-Peak rate, which for this offer can be purchased singularly – so if two customers are travelling together, and one qualifies for the “Mums Go Free” offer, the second customer can claim the reduced Super Off-Peak rate on a single ticket purchase
- No ID will be required to prove the relationship
