Red Funnel announces 50,000 day return tickets at £50 in time for school holidays

Red Funnel has today launched 50,000 Summer Day Return tickets for just £50, giving Islanders the perfect excuse to hop across the Solent for a summer day out.

The special fare covers one car and up to seven people for a same-day return trip, valid for travel between now and 30 September 2025.

Tickets are available every day of the week, with no blackout dates, and valid for daily morning and evening sailings from East Cowes – ideal for full days of family fun, for early risers embarking on a cross-country adventure and shopping day trips to Ikea and West Quay. 

Whether you're catching up with friends and family, hitting the shops in Southampton, or heading out on a road trip further afield, this offer is a great way to enjoy more spontaneous escapes this summer. 

The offer comes just in time for families looking to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays, with nearby attractions such as Paultons Park, Marwell Zoo and the New Forest all within easy reach. 

At just £12.50 per person (return) based on a group of four travelling with a car, it’s the perfect time to take advantage of this exceptional value and enjoy a memorable day out.
