This October half-term join a guided search for Cretaceous fossils on the shore, including dinosaur bones, flint sea urchins, fossil wood, fossil oysters and so much more!

Join Wight Coast Fossils, who currently provide the National Trust’s official fossil walks on this beautiful stretch of coast.
Suitable for all ages, enjoy a relaxed public group tour at Compton Bay. You’ll explore the ancient story of this special coastline and search for Cretaceous fossils on the shore, including dinosaur bones, flint sea urchins, fossil wood, fossil oysters and so much more!
Your destination will be the world-famous dinosaur footcasts at Hanover Point, bearing witness to these incredible tracks and learning about their formation, conservation and the dinosaur species that left them 130 million years ago.
Pricing:
- £5 per adult (18yrs +)
- £3 per child (4-17yrs)
Children 3 and under are free.
Please note: All children under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by a responsible adult during the fossil walk.

- Tuesday, 28th October, 9.00 – 10.00, 10.30 – 11.30
- Thursday, 30th October, 10.00 – 11.00, 12.00 – 13.00
- Saturday, 1st November, 10.00 – 11.00, 12.00 – 13.00, 14.00 – 15.00
