What's On
Newport IW Football Club, in conjunction with Cowes Sports FC, have organised a Saints Legends v Island Legends game at Westwood Park on Saturday 18 May, kicking off at 1pm.
This highly anticipated match brings together football icons such as Matthew Le Tissier, James Beattie, Glen Cockerill, Matthew Oakley, Shane Long, Maik Taylor and Danny Fox, with additional names to be announced, who have graciously agreed to participate.
The Island team will include Lee Bradbury who scored 105 goals in 572 league and cup games in a 16-year professional career playing for clubs including Manchester City, Portsmouth and Crystal Palace. Darren Powell, Newport's most capped player, will also play for the Islanders.
The game, which will generate money for Newport and hosts Cowes Sports, will feature some of the Island's best players from the last 30 years up against a top quality team of Saints legends.

Getting There
From Southampton: Hop on board our Hi-Speed Red Jet service to West Cowes and sail over for just £12.90pp day return when you book your ticket in advance on this page. You'll find Cowes Sports FC just an 18-minute walk from West Cowes terminal, or alternatively, take the Southern Vectis No.1 from outside M&S in Cowes (Carvel Lane) - fares are currently capped at £2 for a single journey.
