Brading

Brading is best known for its Roman Villa, where some of the UK’s most complete mosaics and remains can be seen. Nearby, over 2,000 exhibits can be enjoyed at The Lilliput Antique Doll & Toy Museum.

Morton Manor dates back to 1249 and its lovely garden features magnolias, azaleas, roses, rhododendrons and camellias as well as an Elizabethan sunken garden and a maize maze; it's also famous for its wines. Tudor Nunwell House has five acres of formal and shrub gardens as well as a lily pond and a fountain hailing from London’s Crystal Palace.

Lesser-known Brading sights include the village’s Norman church of St Mary and the Old Town Hall, where the whipping post and stocks were once used to punish local troublemakers.

Brading is also a great destination for walkers, with Brading and Arreton Downs providing stunning views all year-round.
