FAVOURITE WALKS
Pepper Pot → Hoy Monument
A scenic walk up St Catherine’s downs with sea views, a lighthouse from 1314 and the impressive Hoy Monument. Distance: 5km / 1.5-2 hrs
Nemo’s Tip: Large open fields to get the zoomies in!
Best Time: early morning

Niton Tunnels & Cripple Path
Mystical tunnels, rugged cliffs and a peaceful coastal trail.
Distance: 2 km / 1hr - totally depending on route taken
Nemo’s Tip: Perfect little streams for paw-dips.
Best Time: Morning or late afternoon

Brighstone Forest
Shady, quiet woodland full, gravel trails, an easy walk.
Distance: 2–3 km / 1 hrs depending on route taken
Nemo’s Tip: Lots of exciting things to sniff on the woodland floor. Great for staying cool on a hot day

The Longstone Walk
Large fields, historic landmarks and wide-open space.
Distance: 2-3km / 1hr depending on route taken
Nemo’s Tip: Good for off-lead time if your dog has good recall.

Yarmouth → Hamstead Coastal Path
A beautiful stretch of coastline with quiet paths, woodlands and views.
Distance: 11 km / 2-3hrs
Nemo’s Tip: Great for sniffing adventures and splashes in the sea

Dog-Friendly Beaches (All Year Round)
Woody Bay
Peaceful and tucked away. A real local gem, quiet all year round
Chilton Chine
Brilliant for dogs who love running, digging and splashing, a more well known beach but still very quiet all year round
St Helens Duver
Shallow water, wide sandy stretches and perfect for paddleboarding with dogs! Although can get busy during the summer
Nemo’s Top Picks
Compton Car Park (Sunset Spot)
One of the best sunset viewpoints on the whole island. Peaceful, dog friendly and van-friendly. Have a BBQ on the beach or dinner in the van whilst you watch the sun go down over Tennyson Downs
Old Blackgang Road → Rocket End Beach
A little-known path leading to a secluded, wild & quiet beach. Also un officially a nudist beach
The Dragon Tree, Brighstone
A unique shaped, characterful tree hidden in Brighstone village, great for photos and short wanders. A very easy trail.
Favourite Dog-Friendly Cafés
Sage Coffee House, St Helens
A cosy spot with great coffee, the best cakes and a super dog-friendly vibe!
PO41, Yarmouth
A small but great cafe, very welcoming for dogs & even sell puppachinos!
The Piano Café, Freshwater
A lovely artistic café with a relaxed vibe, a calm atmosphere for dogs & a great menu
