Latest Red Funnel Customer Reviews

They were really good at organising the cars getting onto the ship. There was someone dancing in the car park as he showed us the route onto the boat he really cheered us up.
Uneventful journey that arrived on time. Generally the ferry was clean and tidy with staff clearing used cups etc regularly. However, we travelled in the top lounge and the windows were so greasy and covered in finger and hand prints that you could barely see out. Also, the wall beneath the hand dryer in the Ladies toilet was grim. Wallpaper almost completely peeled off and black mould on the wall and skirting. Not pleasant. Still think it is the best way to cross to and from the mainland!
Efficient service, and very quick loading on the cars. Plenty of room to sit down and enjoy the journey and the food was tasty too. Great team.
Very efficient. Comfortable crossing.
Got us on earlier ferries as we arrived early for both. Understaffed on outward journey and only 1 of 3 coffee bars open resulting in queuing for over half of journey for a drink
I find the ferries in general to be on time and regular. We do use the service nearly very week, not daily. Both car and passenger ferries. Clean and staff helpful. There are TWO BUTS......number one why when there's space and someone needs to get an earlier ferry do the booking staff on the quayside do their very best to NOT put you on board? The loading staff are so much more helpful and generally get you on but why odnt the ask the loaders.....????. I know if there's no space we shouldn't expect to change and we don't. But sometimes we can do an earlier ferry and let's face it this usually works in your favour later in the day. And the SECOND BUT IS why then charge us when the space is there and you'll be able to put someone on later in the space we've freed well? I don't expect anything for free but sometimes as a frequent traveller it would be nice not to have to pay the extra to move?? a booking fee is the excuse but really. Come on Red Funnel look after the islanders... more
