Bonchurch Monks Bay
Set in a secluded bay to the south of Bonchurch village, this sand and shingle beach is one of the quieter spots on the Island. Formerly a stronghold for smugglers, there are a few houses at the back of the bay, and then mainly woodland, with a path leading up to St Boniface Old Church.
There’s no parking directly at the beach, but there is a small car park a short walk up the road. If you fancy a walk, the flat route along the sea wall into Ventnor has recently been restored and is one of the nicest on the Island.
