The Isle of Wight Jazz Weekend is back for 2026, bringing incredible live music to multiple venues in Newport over 16 - 20 September.
What's On
The Isle of Wight Jazz Weekend, now firmly established as one of the premier events in the UK jazz calendar, returns from 16 - 20 September with a line up that features the cream of the UK Jazz scene alongside a number of excellent local musicians.
Amongst the famous names returning, are Liane Carroll who performed a memorable solo gig in 2025. This time she returns with her trio and plays at Newport Minster. Also performing at the Minster will be the Jazz Dynamos, an exciting five-piece act who enjoyed a standing ovation from a full Apollo Theatre here in 2023.

Getting There
Getting to the Newport Jazz Weekend is easy from Southampton.
- By car - catch the hourly vehicle ferry service from Southampton to East Cowes, the journey will take 55-60 minutes. Upon arrival, head south on Dover Rd following the A3021 and A3054, Fairlee Road to Newport. The journey will take about 15 minutes.
- On foot - catch the Red Jet to West Cowes from Terminal 2 in Southampton. On arrival in West Cowes, Southern Vectis operate frequent buses from West Cowes to Newport (service 1). Taxis are also available outside the East & West Cowes terminals. For car hire, we recommend Enterprise - they will pick you-up from either terminal if you tell them your arrival time.
