Appley Beach

Appley Beach

Appley Beach is a beautiful sandy beach only a 20 minute walk from Ryde town centre. The beach is clean, spacious and attracts many visitors.

This golden stretch of sand to the east of Ryde's main beaches is a gem. Appley is famed for its mock castle tower, which stands to the rear of the beach, and has recently been restored to it's former glory. The beach itself is great for family days out, with loads of space for games and sunbathing, a well-appointed kids' playground, and beach cafes at either end. A visit should always include a walk around the pretty Appley Park, where the adventurous among you can book a tree-climbing session.

You'll see great views of ships and sailing boats travelling down the Solent.

Facilities include cafes, toilets, parking, Appley Park picnic area and a canoeing lake nearby.
