The Red Funnel team strives to keep our passengers updated about any potential travel disruptions, delays, or changes to service status. Below you’ll find our latest travel updates as well as the live status of the next 15 departures from the Isle of Wight and Southampton, along with our vessel map displaying the latest positions of our ferries.
Travel Updates
We’re extending our Winter Timetable by six days until Wednesday 1 April, due to a delay with Red Eagle returning from her annual refit.
Affected customers will be contacted shortly with any updates to their travel times and will have the option to amend or cancel their sailing accordingly. If you'd like to make changes to your booking, please visit our amend / cancellation page.
As the vessel was coming to the end of refit, an additional critical part was identified as requiring replacement. This is initially due to an issue identified with a newly installed part supplied by a 3rd party which occurred earlier in the refit.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers and thank you for your patience and understanding.

VEHICLE FERRY LIFTS
Are you due to travel on the Vehicle Ferry and need to use the lift on your crossing? Please call us on 023 8001 9192 in advance of your sailing for assistance.
If you have not called in advance, and need lift access, please inform check-in on arrival so we can load you on the appropriate deck to access the working lift.
