The Red Funnel team strives to keep our passengers updated about any potential travel disruptions, delays, or changes to service status. Below you’ll find our latest travel updates as well as the live status of the next 15 departures from the Isle of Wight and Southampton, along with our vessel map displaying the latest positions of our ferries.
Travel Updates
For fans travelling back to the Island from the Southampton vs Blackburn Rovers match on Tuesday 14th April, we will be adding an additional round trip that night to accommodate fans.
Updated sailings will depart as follows:
From Southampton: 23:45
From West Cowes: 00:20
The scheduled 23:55 vehicle ferry will also sail as normal for fans travelling to East Cowes.
To enable us to carry out essential maintenance on our linkspan at East Cowes, it has been necessary to cancel the below late-night sailings on the 18th April:
From Southampton: (18th April): 23:59
From East Cowes: (19th April): 00:45
To support foot passengers we will be running additional Red Jet sailings at the below times:

Are you due to travel on the Vehicle Ferry and need to use the lift on your crossing? Please call us on 023 8001 9192 in advance of your sailing for assistance.
If you have not called in advance, and need lift access, please inform check-in on arrival so we can load you on the appropriate deck to access the working lift.
