The Red Funnel team strives to keep our passengers updated about any potential travel disruptions, delays, or changes to service status. Below you’ll find our latest travel updates as well as the live status of the next 15 departures from the Isle of Wight and Southampton, along with our vessel map displaying the latest positions of our ferries.
Travel Updates
Due to essential maintenance required to our East Cowes Linkspan, the following sailings have been withdrawn:
13, 20 & 27 SEPTEMBER
Departing East Cowes – 01:30
19 & 26 SEPTEMBER
Departing Southampton – 23:59
4, 11, 18 & 25 OCTOBER
Departing East Cowes – 01:30
3, 10, 17 & 24 OCTOBER
Departing Southampton – 23:59
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
As preventative work continues to our Red Jet berth in Southampton, it has been necessary to extend our temporary Saturday timetable until 3 October.
Saturday 12 September
The following sailings have been withdrawn from service:
Depart Southampton: 13:15 |16:10
Depart West Cowes: 13:50 | 1645
In addition to the above, the 18:30 from West Cowes has been cancelled to allow for essential maintenance to an item of critical onboard equipment. All other timetabled sailings will depart as normal.
Saturday 19, 26 & Saturday 3 October
The following sailings have been withdrawn from service due to preventative work to our Red Jet berth in Southampton.
Depart Southampton: 13:15 |17:20
Depart West Cowes: 13:50 |17:55
All other timetabled sailings will depart as normal. During this time, we will continue to operate from our secondary berth for boarding and refuelling.

To allow essential maintenance to an item of critical onboard equipment, it has been necessary to cancel the following Red Jet sailings on Monday 14 September:
Departing Southampton: 0605 | 0715 | 0825 | 1535 | 1645 | 1755
Departing West Cowes: 0640 | 0750 | 0900 | 1610 | 1720 | 1830

Are you due to travel on the Vehicle Ferry and need to use the lift on your crossing? Please call us on 023 8001 9192 in advance of your sailing for assistance.
If you have not called in advance, and need lift access, please inform check-in on arrival so we can load you on the appropriate deck to access the working lift.
