The Red Funnel team strives to keep our passengers updated about any potential travel disruptions, delays, or changes to service status. Below you’ll find our latest travel updates as well as the live status of the next 15 departures from the Isle of Wight and Southampton, along with our vessel map displaying the latest positions of our ferries.
Travel Updates
There are currently no customer toilet facilities at Terminal 2, Southampton (Red Jet) due to extensive damage to the macerator system. There are portaloos situated outside the terminal entrance, and alternative toilets on board the Red Jet and nearby at Terminal 1 (our Vehicle Ferry terminal).
For fans travelling back to the Island from the Southampton vs Queens Park Rangers match on Tuesday 24 February, we will be delaying the 22:30 sailing to 22:45 and adding an additional sailing at 00:10 to accommodate fans.
Updated sailings are as follows:
From Southampton: 22:45 & 00:10
From West Cowes: 23:20 & 00:45
The scheduled 23:55 vehicle ferry will also sail as normal for fans travelling to East Cowes.
Due to unplanned maintenance, which is required for Red Jet 6, we’ve had to revise our Hi-Speed timetable for the remainder of the 17th and 18th of February.
Our timetable will now operate at the following times:
Departing Southampton: 05:30 / 06:40 / 07:50 / 09:00 / 10:20 / 11:30 / 12:40 / 13:50 / 15:00 / 16:10 / 17:20 / 18:30 / 19:40 / 21:05 / 22:30
Departing West Cowes: 06:05 / 07:15 / 08:25 / 09:35 / 10:55 / 12:05 / 13:15 / 14:25 / 15:35 / 16:45 / 17:55 / 19:05 / 20:15 / 21:40 / 23:05

To enable us to carry out essential maintenance on our linkspan at East Cowes, we’ll be cancelling the following overnight Vehicle Ferry sailings:
Saturday 21 February: Southampton to East Cowes – 23:55
Sunday 22 February: East Cowes to Southampton – 01:30
Saturday 7 March: Southampton to East Cowes – 23:55
Sunday 8 March: East Cowes to Southampton – 01:30

VEHICLE FERRY LIFTS
Are you due to travel on the Vehicle Ferry and need to use the lift on your crossing? Please call us on 023 8001 9192 in advance of your sailing for assistance.
Please note: We currently have no lift access to the Signature Lounge or Pet Lounge on all vessels.
If you have not called in advance, and need lift access, please inform check-in on arrival so we can load you on the appropriate deck to access the working lift.
