Sat 19 - Sun 20 May 2012 - The Cycle Wight weekend is an exciting new addition to the Isle of Wight's cycling calendar. Featuring one of the Island's first closed road cycling sportives and a mountain biking enduro this is set to be one of the best cycling events on the South Coast in 2012.
Designed to appeal to both the serious amateur cyclist (road and mountain bike), the occasional weekend warrior and the average family leisure rider, there's truly something for everyone. Beach to Beach (Mountain Biking Leisure Ride)
Enjoy a fun, FREE ride ride across the Isle of Wight! Start from the Cycle Wight event arch on Yarmouth Harbour and ride the pretty causeway cycle path to Freshwater Bay. Grab a coffee or an ice cream, and relax by the beach for a while, then ride back to soak up the finish lie atmosphere back at Yarmouth.
The ride is just 5km each way, flat and follows a leafy cycle path for most of the route. It’s easy to follow, but we’ll signpost the whole thing anyway. It’s fun and it’s free to enter! Just sign up on the Cycle Wight website, it won’t cost you a bean!

Wight Riviera Ride (Road Leisure Ride)
The Wight Riviera Ride is a brilliant day’s cycling on the beautiful Isle of Wight! The 25km circuit loops from the lovely Yarmouth harbour front to beach at Freshwater bay and back along peaceful country lanes on traffic free, closed roads! Bikes will have the roads to themselves for the morning of the ride, making for a peaceful, easy and safe day out!
