The Trendy Petting Farm

One of the fastest growing attractions on the Island is Tapnell Farm. We absolutely love it because it has so much to do and I think it offers very good value and there’s fun to had in any weather.

It also caters for toddlers to teens with its range of entertainment including soft play, climbing walls, giant trampoline-style pillow, peddle go-karts (one of my favourites!), zip wires, straw-bale challenges and more!  For the even more adventurous or perhaps older children, you can book other activities like archery, rock climbing even axe-throwing — I better not tell my son about that!

It has two shops for all your souvenirs and a cafe and restaurant where they serve delicious burgers and mini steaks for those children who like the finer things in life. Oh and there are colourfully painted cows branded by different Island companies and organisations so you can play a guessing game matching company to cow.

And now they have animals too! After the closure of Seaview Wildlife Encounter (many a happy trip has been spent there in the past) Tapnell Farm acquired several of their animals and along with other species they now include meerkats and wallabies, and a whole farm of animals including goats, sheep and alpacas. Our favourite bit is the petting zoo area where you can feed lambs in spring, stroke rabbits and guinea pigs, and marvel at the sleeping ability of pigs.

It’s the farm that keeps on giving. I defy you not to be entertained and fed and watered all day. An Island must see!
