Ooh la la Say Knickers to the Weekend

It’s that time of year again when some of us start our new year’s resolutions - you know the kind of thing - use less plastic, eat well, get fit, learn a new skill, spend more time with one's friends and family; the list goes on, and it can be hard to keep too. My list has had a few drop-offs already and it’s only mid-January.

So I thought I would let you know of a couple of wonderful things Mrs. B is up to that might help you tick a few of those things off your list.

There is this amazing project, Tiny Homes Holidays, that's been put together by the creative duo, Helen and Frazer Cunningham from Vintage Vacations and The Shacks.

Think beautifully designed tiny off-grid spaces, perfect for getting back to nature, kicking back with plenty of creature comforts without harming the environment. Tinys Homes also have the added bonus of having a purpose-built studio for all things creative.

I am presenting a few studycations in their amazing studio. This is where the January resolutions come in. You can tick so many off your list learning a new skill and spending quality time with your friends and family enjoying the big outdoors. The list is endless!

Ooh, la la it’s Knickers to the Weekend!

February 2 - February 5

We are so lucky to have Rachel Kenyon of renowned lingerie company Buttress & Snatch coming to teach a basic lingerie master class. Rachel has worked in the UK lingerie and swimwear business since 1999 and has made every kind of fantastical as well as practical creation in that time.

She has had extensive experience since starting out making the original lingerie for Agent Provocateur, Paul Smith, FrostFrench and swimwear for Luella Bartley amongst others, before starting her own cult UK indie brand Buttress and Snatch in 2002. B&S went on to make fancy and fantastical things for famous behinds including Madonna, Isabella Blow and Kate Moss as well as stocking major department stores and boutiques around the world.

Rachel shifted the brand from external factory production to artisanal workshop production in 2010 in order to make a more exciting size and style range available direct to the customer and now runs a new tailored lingerie label Queen of the Clover as well as B&S from her Studio in an old Turkish Delight factory in Hackney London. She now specialises in custom work for larger sizes as well as luxury, bridal and honeymoon trousseaux.

You will come away from your relaxing weekend having produced an underwired or a soft bra and matching knickers in your size in perfect time for Valentine’s day. Just imagine!
