Coast always seems to be busy and it’s got a real buzz about it. A bar, a restaurant, a coffee house and a cool place to hang out, Coast ticks all the boxes. Plus they do good food and tasty nibbles to pick at with a glass of good wine.
Now over two adjacent buildings, Coast has a relaxed and informal style with cosy leather sofas and chairs in the big windows inviting you in to the rustic interior. Stripped brick feature walls and floorboards, and an eclectic selection of wooden and marble topped tables with chapel chairs. Upstairs is a further dining room for busy periods and out the back is a small courtyard garden.
You can have breakfast, cake and morning cappuccino, a snack, working lunch or a three course dinner or just a drink with a bowl of olives or smoked almonds. The food has a Mediterranean flavour with an Italian focus, including local produce such as asparagus and rib eye steaks.
Their pizzas are especially popular: walk through from the bar into the dining room and you can see the pizza kitchen and big white pizza oven to the rear of the room.
Peroni, Amstel, Moretti and Sagres are on draught, there are wine and cocktail lists and you can have freshly squeezed orange juice or Rosso coffee.
Tables are on the pavement of the pedestrian precinct outside Coast when the weather is warm and during Cowes Week people spill out onto the street.
