Wolverton Manor in Shorwell forms the stunning backdrop to the annual Folk and Blues Fair, featuring the Island's best folk and blues musicians and special guests, The Dave Kelly Band. This year, the fair takes place on 12 May 2018.

The sixth annual Wolverton Folk & Blues Fair will take place in the stunning grounds of Wolverton Manor, Shorwell, IW on Saturday 12th May 2018 from 11.30 to 20.00

This family friendly event is a celebration of all that's good about our Island's local food & music talent and is a must for folk and blues fans. There's an exciting range of bands and solo artists along with fresh locally produced food, tented cafes, BBQ, children's activities, and most importantly a Real Ale tent! As well as the Main Stage, the popular Beer Tent Acoustic Stage will also make a welcome return this year.

This years special guest is one of the very best blues vocalists and slide guitarists this country has ever produced, Dave Kelly is well known for his 20+ years with The Blues Band with umpteen band albums and almost as many solo albums to his name. From the beginning, he's played with some of the greatest blues artists in the world – Howling Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Son House & Buddy Guy.  So, don't miss the brilliant Dave Kelly Band at this year's Wolverton Folk & Blues Fair.

The Wolverton Folk & Blues Fair will raise money for Leukaemia Research and Brighstone Primary School.

Getting to Wolverton Manor Folk & Blues Fair is easy from Southampton.

By car - Catch the hourly vehicle ferry service from Southampton to East Cowes, the journey will take 55-60 minutes. Upon arrival, head south on Dover Rd following the A3021 and A3054 to St George's Approach/B3341 in Newport. From there, follow B3341 to Carisbrooke Rd and continue along the B3323 to Corve Hill in Shorwell, turn right into Pound Lane and Wolverton Manor (your destination) is on the right. The 11.6 miles will take about 30 minutes.

On foot - catch the Red Jet to West Cowes from Terminal 2 in Southampton. On arrival in West Cowes, Southern Vectis operate frequent buses from West Cowes to Newport (service 1). Change at the bus station in Newport for service 6 to Chale. Taxis are also available outside the East & West Cowes terminals. For car hire, we recommend Enterprise - they will pick you-up from either terminal if you tell them your arrival time.
