A celebration of all things powered by steam happens every August at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway on the Isle of Wight and this year the 43rd Island Steam Show is taking to the rails from Friday 24 to Monday 27 August 2018 at the Havenstreet Station site.

Around the Show, climb aboard the traditional fairground rides, marvel at the fascinating working steam demonstrations, relish the sight of beautifully maintained traction engines, vintage cars, motorcycles and old wagons, or simply settle back for a steam train ride through the Island's unspoilt countryside.

More details of about what's on at this years show will be publsihed in the spring. In the meantime, save the date as the Island Steam Show will make your August Bank Holiday a weekend to remember!

Getting to the Island Steam Show is easy from Southampton.

By car - catch the hourly car ferry to East Cowes and then head south on Dover Road. Follow the A3021, Park Road, Briddlesford Road, and then turn left into Combley Road. The journey will take about 13 minutes.

On foot - catch the Red Jet to West Cowes. From here, Southern Vectis operate frequent buses (service 1) to Newport where you can change at the bus station for service 9, alighting at Wootton station.
