Halloween on the Isle of Wight just got REAL! This year, tricks and treats are not just for the kids! Scare attractions exclusively for grownups are happening on the Island and they are certainly going to have you jumping out your skin, laughing with nerves and going home with some nightmares (and seriously funny memories)!
The award-winning scare attraction, Terror Island is back for 2021 and this terrifying night out will introduce you to three interactive scare mazes, live entertainment and tasty street food! Head into the nautical nightmare of “Amphibious” and help the keeper of St Catherine’s Lighthouse save his home from the monstrous sea creatures searching for fresh souls. Next, take on “The Blood Shed”, secret hideaway from the murderous smugglers who are dying to MEAT you! Finally make your way to “HEXcavation” and discover the evil that has been unearthed by World renowned arachnologist, Professor Carter.
After all that excitement you’ll be needing a drink and tasty street food which will be on offer from the fully-licenced bar, as well as live music from DJ Omar or DJ Jakey Chan with all the floor-filling classics! If you’re still feeling brave, then ride the thrilling roller coaster… in the dark if you dare…
Terror Island is open 22nd, 23rd, 29th, 30th & 31st October between 6pm-11pm.
Fright Night at Isle of Wight Steam Railway
Are you brave enough to ride the train of fright this October? The Isle of Wight Steam Railway will offer you a seriously spooky Halloween under the cover of darkness. After boarding he train you’ll be riding off into the desolate countryside in total darkness… will someone be out there watching you?
You’ll also notice the swooping birds from Haven Falconry as they fly under the moonlight ad if you tack the tricky trail through the haunted woodland to the Train Story Discovery Centre there are plenty of ghastly goings on, including horror stories. The refreshment room will be offering a Halloween themed food to keep your strength up… you’re going to need it!
Fright Night will take place on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st October.
DO YOU REALLY NEED EVERYTHING YOU’VE BEEN GIVEN?
This is not for the faint-hearted! A 25-minute interactive maze where everyBODY is welcome! To survive the maze you must smuggle your way out of the challenge room, crawl through tunnels and run for your life through a maze and tight enclosed spaces. And if you survive, the Halloween experience continues with Headphone Horrors - a "silent" cinema, screening 20 horror shorts through headphones to fully immerse you in the terror.
There will also be a bar and food serving beef goulash, beef chilli (and veggie/vegan option) and Halloween roast stuffed peppers. Are you brave enough to take on ‘The Project’?
