Exhaust Emissions
The MTU series 4000 main engines in Red Jet 4 comply with the exhaust gas emission limits set by IMO, EPA Tier 2 and CCNR II.

Red Jet 4 is also fitted with a Colpro exhaust gas system which injects sea water (used to cool the main engines) into the exhaust gas at the point of overboard discharge. Not only does this cool the exhaust gas, it further reduces emissions and noise levels.

Interceptors explained
Red Jet 4 is fitted with 2 interceptors, their function is to lift the aft section of the hull at speed to reduce the wash formation and improve passenger comfort. They are vertical blades fitted to each transom that once deployed, create a pressure force to raise the hull.
