How does spending a weekend travelling around the Isle of Wight on a vintage bus and stopping off at various different pubs around the Island sound?

Now in its 6th year the ever popular Isle of Wight Classic Buses, Beer and Walks Weekend is almost upon us. With over 100 classic buses included in the 2 day event, and 15 different routes all over the Island, this is the perfect way to see what the beautiful Isle of Wight has to offer (and not just the pubs!).

The hop on, hop off services are all free of charge and each route starts and ends at Newport Quay in the centre of the Island. Stopping off in different towns and villages where you can choose to sample what the local pubs have to offer, take a wander around the local shops or simply have a walk through the countryside taking in some of the stunning views.  

 

With around 17,000 passengers attending the 2018 event, it is not to be missed!

Take a look at the route maplist of the pubs and a list of walks that were on the 2018 routes to help you plan your weekend. Travelling on the buses is completely free of charge however if you would like to support the event you can buy the bumper 112 page programme for a small charge, and this contains the details of the pubs, town maps, the routes and timetables. It also contains a selection of special offers. The programme is available from all participating pubs or on their website.
