From 12 April new rules take effect whereby overnight stays are permitted for camping/self-catering accommodation, where units are self-contained, with no shared facilities and used by members of the same household or support bubble. This Grade II listed property has been lovingly restored into the stunning Weirside Cottage, a 17th Century workers cottage which retains many of its character features. Situated in the popular village of Brighstone, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the village hosts an excellent village store and post office with lots of local Island produce, grocers, newsagent and that all important family pub. An ideal spot for lovely coastal and downland walks and the many nearby attractions and beaches are within easy reach.
Weirside Cottage has two bedrooms upstairs, sleeping up to 4 people, one with kingsize double bed and the second with twin beds. On the ground floor is a comfortable sitting room with exposed stonework and a brick fireplace. The dining room seats 4 and there is a wood burner during autumn and winter months. Fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons and a well-appointed bathroom with shower over the bath. Outside on the terrace is a pretty summerhouse with laundry area, another place to relax, a beautiful lawned garden reached by a small timber footbridge ove the babbling brook which runs through the grounds. Bed linen, towels and electricity are included. Children welcome under 6 months old and over 4 years, this is due to the internal architecture of the building and proximity of the brook in the garden - children must be supervised at all times, especially near the brook. Pets not accepted. Car parking available.
