Lyon Court is a beautiful country house in a lovely countryside setting, tastefully converted into individual apartments, with extensive gardens & terrace, a children’s play area & outdoor swimming pool. It overlooks Shanklin Down, yet is close to bus & train routes, and only 10 minute walk to the town centre or Shanklin Old Village. The beach is a further 5 minute walk.

The Garret is a self-contained apartment away from the main building at Lyon Court. This bright and airy double aspect room has a southerly view along the side of the house to the gardens and pool; it also overlooks the courtyard, and benefits from the evening sun. The family room incorporates the fully equipped kitchen with full size oven/grill and induction hob, microwave oven, dishwasher, full sized tower fridge freezer, large toaster, kettle and all pots, pans and utensils that you might need. The dining area comfortably seats 6 and there is additional comfortable seating to watch the huge 49' smart TV connected to their satellite system that is Netflix/Amazon ready. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, bunk beds for the kids and space to accommodate a cot. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a roof window that catches the morning sun. Both bedrooms benefit from en-suite bathrooms  with a high pressure hot water system and full size bath and shower over, basin and WC.  The WC to the Bedroom 1 en-suite has an integral toddler training seat. A wireless access point has also been installed, giving a fast wifi connection throughout the whole apartment and on the terrace. There is an allocated large 42sqm terrace adjacent to the Garret for the sole use of Garret guests, embellished by tropical plants, with garden furniture and a gas BBQ for al fresco dining.
You will have access to all of the facilities at Lyon Court including a large, heated outdoor pool (heated from late May until last weekend of September), a large terrace with gas BBQs available, on site launderette & extensive landscaped gardens. There are also excellent facilities for children including a slide, a climbing frame, swings and a split level playhouse. Babysitting can also be arranged, for more details please contact The Garret. For your comfort beds are made up before your arrival and a welcome tray and under-sink items are provided. Electric and bed linen are included. Children of all ages are welcome. Car parking for 2 cars available.

Please note The Garret sleeps 6 people and 2 of these beds are bunk beds, so ideal for 4 adults and 2 children. Additionally a cot can be provided for a baby but the total occupancy must not exceed 6.

Open: all year | Minimum number of nights: 2, except when school holidays when it's 3 nights and between 19 December & 2 January is 4 nights starting any day. Between 23 July and 3 September minimum is 7 nights starting on a Saturday.

Security Bond

The Garret request a £300.00 bond for all apartments. The bond must be paid by bank transfer direct to Lyon Court at least 2 weeks before your arrival date. (Details will be provided by Lyon Court once booked). They reserve the right to cancel the booking if there is a failure to pay the bond by this point and full cancellation charges will apply as per the terms and conditions of booking.

Bonds are taken to cover any damage or breakages and to cover any losses incurred by the property or contents during your stay, as well as the cost of any special or extra cleaning or rubbish clearance that is required after departure. If damage/loss exceeds the value of the deposit, you will be liable for the full cost or the difference.
Once you have departed and the property has been checked Lyon Court will refund the bond less any deductions within 14 days. Your bond is at risk if the terms and conditions herein are not adhered to.
