Lyon Court is a beautiful country house in a lovely countryside setting, tastefully converted into individual apartments, with extensive gardens & terrace, a children’s play area & outdoor swimming pool. It overlooks Shanklin Down, yet is close to bus & train routes, and only 10 minute walk to the town centre or Shanklin Old Village. The beach is a further 5 minute walk.

Flat 1 is a roomy first floor apartment with dual aspect to the front and back of the house and sleeps 6 comfortably (4 adults + 2 children + cot). The kitchen is fully equipped  and the lounge-diner is equipped with large, comfy settees and a 32” TV with integral DVD player. Bedroom 1 has a comfy king sized bed and overlooks the gardens. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and bunks and has its own en-suite facilities.A cot can be accommodated in either bedroom. The separate family bathroom is equipped with a large walk in shower.

The Garden Apartment is very bright and airy and has just been refurbished to a very high standard, taking up the entire storey at garden level. There is under floor heating, fully equipped kitchen with a Grohle instant boiling water system so that everyone can have their morning tea/coffee at the same time! Large dining table with French doors opening on to the South facing terrace and your own private hot tub overlooking the gardens and pool. The Hot tub has been upgraded for 2018 and now has an integrated ozonator, which reduces the need for as much chlorine, making for a more pleasant bathing experience.  This is also much better for those with sensitive skin. Lounge area has comfy seating and a 49" smart TV. Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed and a comfy sofa/daybed. Bedroom 2 has a king sized bed and its own en-suite shower room. Bedroom 3 has a king sized bed and French doors and bedroom 4 has twin single beds and French doors both to the South facing terrace overlooking the gardens and pool. Grohe taps and showers have been installed throughout. There are 2 family bathrooms (The WC's have an integral toddler training seat, so no need to bring your own). Fast Wi-Fi connection throughout the whole apartment and on the terrace.

You will have access to all of the facilities at Lyon Court including a large, heated outdoor pool, a sauna (from late May Bank Holiday weekend until September), a large terrace with gas BBQs available, on site launderette & extensive landscaped gardens. There are also excellent facilities for children including a slide, a climbing frame, swings and a split level playhouse. Babysitting can also be arranged, for more details please contact Lyon Court. For a comfortable stay, beds are made up before your arrival, and a welcome tray and under-sink items are provided. Electric and bed linen are included. Children of all ages are welcome. Security Bond

Lyon Court request a £300.00 bond for all apartments. The bond must be paid by bank transfer direct to Lyon Court at least 2 weeks before your arrival date. (Details will be provided by Lyon Court once booked). They reserve the right to cancel the booking if there is a failure to pay the bond by this point and full cancellation charges will apply as per the terms and conditions of booking.

Bonds are taken to cover any damage or breakages and to cover any losses incurred by the property or contents during your stay, as well as the cost of any special or extra cleaning or rubbish clearance that is required after departure. If damage/loss exceeds the value of the deposit, you will be liable for the full cost or the difference.
 
Once you have departed and the property has been checked Lyon Court will refund the bond less any deductions within 14 days. Your bond is at risk if the terms and conditions herein are not adhered to.

The Garden Apartment- sleeps 8 + cot
The Garden Apartment at Lyon Court is very bright and airy and has just been refurbished to a very high standard, taking up the entire storey at garden level. There is under floor heating with porcelain, vintage wood effect floor tiling throughout, giving it a Mediterranean feel.
The kitchen is equipped with a family sized fridge/freezer, a range cooker with 2 ovens, a grill and an induction hob with 5 burners, a full sized dishwasher and a dedicated wine cooler. Installed is a Grohe instant boiling water system so that everyone can have their morning tea/coffee at the same time. The dining area has a large table and seating for everyone. There are French doors that open out on to the South facing terrace, equipped with a private hot tub overlooking the gardens and pool.
