Visit a Roman villa on the Isle of Wight

Brading Roman Villa on the Isle of Wight will be hosting a summer crafts event next month.

Taking place from August 24th to 30th, the historic venue is to host a marquee full of attractions for visitors and will be open from 10:00 to 16:00 BST each day.

Free activities throughout the course of the event will include mosaic making in a traditional Roman style, bug hunting in the nearby Medusa Meadow and colouring in for young ones.

One of the finest Roman sites in the whole of the UK, the villa offers an insight into the lives of normal people more than 2,000 years ago and can be found on Morton Old Road in Brading.

Complete with authentic Roman mosaic floors and a licensed cafe, shop and extensive grounds, the summer event promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family and has the added bonus of being free for all.ADNFCR-3083-ID-801613629-ADNFCR
