UK military history examined

The history of the UK's ballistic missile defence programme goes under the microscope in this fascinating talk given my Jonathon Bluestone, a renowned expert on the military through the ages.

A comprehensive assessment of the early development of rockets and early defence techniques that also covers the present day role of rockets from nations around the world, historians are sure to love this in-depth discussion.

Innovations such as the SAMPSON radar - famously a British invention - will also be looked into, as well as the potential of the Royal Navy's Type 45 Destroyers when it comes to conducting possible Ballistic Missile Defence missions.

Attendees are advised to confirm their intent to join online - although it is entirely free to participate - before turning up. The event will take place at the Quay Arts Centre in Newport Harbour. Don't forget to book yourself a ferry ticket at the same time.ADNFCR-3083-ID-801697320-ADNFCR
