The Who guitarist to play IOW

The Isle of Wight might be small, but it has a reputation for drawing some of the biggest names in music to play there, and this March, a member of The Who will be gracing the Pavilion Bar on Ryde Esplanade.

Simon Townshend, the younger brother of the more famous Pete, who has played guitar on numerous The Who tours, will be performing an exclusive acoustic set on March 22nd.

Tickets to see the younger of the Townshends, who has jammed with the likes of Pearl Jam, Dave Grohl and Jeff Beck, cost £7 in advance and £8 on the door, but it's well worth booking ahead to avoid disappointment, especially if you're travelling over by ferry.

Other big-name acts due to come to the Isle of Wight to play to packed crowds this year include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kings of Leon, Biffy Clyro, and Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. ADNFCR-3083-ID-801694584-ADNFCR
