Pleasurade to perform in Newport

Island rock band Pleasurade are set to perform in Newport this evening (March 8th), in what could be a must-see gig for music lovers on an Isle of Wight getaway.
The group will be taking to the stage at The Loft and it promises to be a unique show, as Pleasurade will be releasing their new album Beating Around the Bushes at the event, the Isle of Wight County Press reports.
Band frontman Chris Boon told the newspaper: "It's different to performing live, you don't have the noise of the audience to feed off, but we think we have nailed it this time. We're very happy with it."
Fans of reggae might also like to head along to the Blacksheep Bar in Rydelater this month for a one-off evening celebrating this oft-unsung musical genre.
Derek Sandy, The Ohmz and Dubheart will all be performing, with all proceeds to go to The Starlight Foundation - an organisatiuon dedicated to helping terminally ill children.
